Easy Exercises Still Wrecked?

You're training harder.

But recovering worse.

So instead of getting leaner, harder, and stronger - you're getting smaller, softer, more inflamed, more tired, and more frustrated.

Ask me how I know.

Got the t-shirt. Mowed the lawn in it.

Here's the mistake I made - and I'm sharing it so you don't make the same ones.

Mistake number one: I mind-over-mattered myself when I knew better.

My mind has a knack for forcing my body to bend to its will.

My body, however, was slowly and silently protesting.

Mistake number two: I wrongly assumed that because the exercises were relatively easy - compared to Olympic lifting and heavy strength work - the total stress on my body would be easy too.

Wrong.

Big fat wrong-o.

100 swings plus 100 push-ups a day, 6 days a week.

The exercises themselves weren't complicated. They weren't even particularly heavy for me at the time.

But two hundred reps in one training session is a lot of volume.

And doing it 6 days a week on top of poor sleep and accumulated life stress tipped my body into emergency mode.

The result: smaller muscles, bigger waist, crankier joints.

The lesson:

It's not just about how hard the exercise is.

It's about how much total stress you're adding to a system that's already under load.

Your body gets a vote.

And if you're not listening - it will cast that vote whether you're ready or not.
